Zara Vet was founded on a simple frustration: too much veterinary medicine is guesswork waiting on a laboratory somewhere else. So we built the laboratory into the clinic.
How we work
Four things we do not compromise on
Diagnose before treating: We would rather run the test than start an antibiotic hopefully. It is faster, cheaper for you in the end, and it is how resistance is avoided. Explain it properly: You should leave understanding what is wrong, what we are doing about it, and what would make us change course. If that takes longer, the appointment takes longer. Pain is not optional to treat: Analgesia is part of every procedure, not an upsell. Anaesthesia is monitored throughout, by a person whose only job is monitoring it. Say no when no is right: If a procedure is not in the animal's interest, we will tell you and decline it — including procedures owners sometimes expect.

We follow international animal welfare standards in every part of the practice — from how patients are handled and housed to which procedures we are prepared to perform. In line with international animal welfare standards, this clinic does not perform non-therapeutic tail docking or ear cropping.
